It's only my second time visiting the Flagpole and I just had to write a review. First of all the owner is a great asset; he is so friendly and has quickly become an integral part of the neighborhood. The Cuban sandwich with plantain chips and guava juice is probably the best quick lunchtime deal in the area and the coffee is great. Prices are affordable and the vibe is unmatched. Esplanade Ave needs more places like this, with cafe seating, where you can just sit under the oaks and watch the day pass. For decades I've watched this spot, wishing for something just like this. I can't wait to go back.

Little neighborhood places like this need to be treasured, so they don’t go away. The proprietor here is a genuinely nice man, and deserves lots of business. Plus, as a not a big sweets person, the raw snowball flavors are an amazing alternative for someone who just wants an icy treat that tastes like real fruit. Please support this great small local business!

For ambiance, Flagpole NOLA is such a cute coffee shop. On a corner along a charming street, a Cuban man runs the cafe making strong coffee and pastries. Parking along a nearby street, I ordered a hazelnut latte. It was made with love, but wasn't my favorite latte. However, the experience was great from service to space.
